We have so many special patients in our orthodontic practice each day, and enjoy all of the special news and liveliness they bring.

Meet Alina!
She is so full of energy at all her orthodontic visits, and usually comes in with plenty of questions for me about her braces. She also must have an interest in neckties because she always checks out my tie for the day and lets me know if it is one of her favorites! I should probably check with this “necktie fashionista” the next time I am looking for new ties. Alina is a big fan of our Safari Smile Club prize wheel and tries to get us to let her spin it at all of her appointments even though it is reserved for patients who have not yet started their braces.
On December 17, 2008, Alina appeared before the Department of Homeland Security to attend a special ceremony and take the oath of Citizenship of the United States of America. As Alina puts it, “to become the Queen of America.” You can see the excitement on Alina’s face.
This date is important for her family since it is the exact date she was adopted four years ago. She now resides in New Jersey with her loving parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard De Medina, and from what I have heard Alina is becoming quite the ballerina.
